SEB was among the 20 government departments and agencies that took part in the river float parade held in conjunction with opening of the new State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Building by the Yang Di Pertuan Agong in Kuching on 27th August 2009. The opening of the iconic structure also coincided with the three-day 218th Conference of Rulers held at the same venue. The SEB float came in second in the competition for the most decorative float among the government linked agencies.
