Title : Sarawak Energy Berhad has a New CEO

Mr. Torstein Dale Sjotveit has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Sarawak Energy Berhad and Group of Companies effective 1st November 2009.
He takes over from Tan Sri Datuk Amar (Dr) Haji Abdul Aziz Bin Dato Haji Husain who was Group Managing Director of SEB since 2006.
Mr. Torstein, 54 a civil engineer by training, brings with him a strong international top management experience in the shipbuilding industry and was the CEO for Aker Yards ASA. He has held a number of key management positions in Norsk Hydro since 1981, both within the oil and gas activities, within polymers and petrochemicals, industrial maintenance and other parts of the company¡¯s international business. Among others, he has worked in West Africa for six years. His last position in Norsk Hydro was the position as President for Hydro Aluminum Metals, Hydro's upstream aluminum business with operations in 13 countries, 5,000 employees and revenues of NOK 60 billion.
Mr. Torstein has in addition held the position as Executive President and has been part of Hydro's corporate management. He has strong experience in leadership from large and complex organizational structures, restructuring, and divestment processes, negotiations and relationship building in a number of different cultural environments as well as from broad commercial settings.
